This Fourth of July, Americans around the world will celebrate our country’s Independence Day. Like many of you, I will be with family and friends celebrating and reflecting on what it means to be an American.
Being a citizen of our great nation is not something we can ever take for granted. National heroes fought and laid down their lives to gain our independence and preserve the principles that our founding fathers believed in — life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We should keep these brave women and men in mind on this holiday, and always.
I hope everyone can take time this Fourth of July to recharge and reflect on what being an American means to you.
I wish you and your family a safe and happy Fourth.
